Butte County COE
Receives
$4M SAMHSA Grant
To Build Out SWIM
BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. — The Butte County Office of Education has been awarded approximately $3.82 million in federal funding to expand trauma-informed mental health services for students across Butte County.
BCOE was one of six organizations nationwide selected for the grant through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s Trauma-Informed Services in Schools program.
The four-year grant will fund the Butte Resilience Initiative, a countywide effort to bring behavioral health services directly to school campuses. BCOE plans to expand the program to 30 schools across nine local educational agencies by September 2030.
